My name is Marta Arrojo and this is my journey.
It all began with an empty nest. About four years ago, with the encouragement and loving support of my husband, I started taking watercolor classes and drawing workshops. Two years ago I attended a five-day Botanical Illustration workshop at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens in Sarasota, Florida and I was hooked! Since then I knew I had to draw and illustrate flowers and botanical subjects. It has become a passion that I love and hold dear to my heart. It is a beautiful and delightul adventure. And the fun and pleasure is in the day-to-day discovery and exploration of the natural beauty around us. It is a journey that I hope to continue and enjoy for many years to come. The Portfolio I am sharing with you here displays a sampling of my work, including the work I have completed for Cornell University's Botanical Illustration Distance Learning Program . Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy!
